Failed my driving test again. TW SH

I took my driving test today and failed right off the bat. It's not that I don't know how to drive. I did fine when it was me and the instructor. But as soon as the person administering the test comes, I freeze up and panic hardcore so I make a lot of stupid mistakes I wouldn't have otherwise.
I had a major panic attack in the parking lot of the DMV and the poor driving school instructor who I went with had to deal with me hyperventilating and sniffling.
We are thinking of rescheduling to February. I might ask about March. I'll also have to buy more driving lessons and they're so expensive.
I want to cut. My prescribing APRN said that I should email her when I get the urge to self harm, since it can help. Today it isn't helping. The only thing stopping me from cutting is the fact that I'm tired, like too tired to do anything. I'm fall ig asleep writing this.
Sometimes I feel like I am too disabled to work a full time job, too disabled to drive, too disabled to live life. I cab't do it. I just can't do it..

I think you have a heck of a lot more guts than I do for even attempting to take your driving test. I won't even take lessons!
I know it must seem like an absolute disaster, especially at the time. But let's reframe the situation a bit and turn those downsides into some positives - Now you know what could happen next time. You now have the ability to take precautions and make whomever is administering your test, aware of your situation. Possibly even look into a more specialised instructor administering the test so they would know how to help handle the situation a lot more. Alternatively, you could also look into finding out who may be administering your test in the future and get to know them a little more beforehand. Not necessarily to make friends with them, but to at least build up some sort of rapport so having a new person in the car with you won't feel so alien.Posted December 27th 2021 at 11:39 PM by Rivière
