I found this website because I'm hoping there's someone on here that might be going through a similar thing with me, and hoping that I can get support whereas I don't want my friends to know about. So the title says it all, I'm not like other girls. I noticed my changes didn't change whereas my friend changes. She went through puberty and I didn't so when I was 18. I finally had the courage to ask for help and I went to the hospital and they told me that I had something similar to Turner's Syndrome. My chromosomes are messed up (all women have 2 X chromosomes, but I have one normal X and one abnormal X), which means I won't be able to have kids or even go through my puberty. Unfortunately I look like I'm 12 when I'm 20. The proper word for my "illness" is Primary Ovarian Failure. I'm currently taking a special type of birth control pills to help develop my estrogen levels. Theyre still trying to figure out why I'm like this. Beside having this problem. I have other issues like my bones - they're still growing. 3 months ago I was measured at 171cm, today I went for my checkup, and I now measure at 178cm. I grew 7cm in 3 months. My bone age is 12.

My check up today, I had so many test. I had a X-ray of my ribs, my hands. I had a nuclear imaging of my lungs. I had to inhale radiation and get dye inserted into my blood. I had so many blood test and I feel so weak! In the next couple of weeks I will have a CT of my brain.

I know I won't have kids ever. I have useless ovaries and I'm thinking of getting them removed, because they're no good, but I don't want my parents to think that it's their fault.

Anyways, this will be my posting board for all my issues.
