okay so I love lifetime movies and one came on lost night i think it was called mothers nightmare. Well I was watching it with the hubby all was going well... then the girl in the movie has scars from cutting her wrists kinda bothered me made me want to cut a little but the movie went on and didn't mention or show it again so I left it on the movie... Well all of a sudden at the end of the movie the girl drugs her bf and makes him cut himself till he is well dead... ( the paramedics brought him back no worries).... any way this happened very suddenly and I didn't see it coming or I would have changed the channel any way to late.... Next thing I know i am remembering the day i tried to kill myself.. i can't stop the memories and the feelings I had that day are hitting me like a giant wave... loneliness,sadness,pain,calmness,fear,panic....i'm reliving it... I feel exactly like I did that day. I literally relived the day in just a few moments it was terrifying and horrible. I have never had that happen before Today I'm super anxious and upset about what happened. I don't ever think about that day I block it out because it makes me depressed and suicidal to think about it.Last night the memories just started and I couldn't stop them though it was so real and horrible. I was crying and shaking uncontrollably when the memories stopped. Has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone know how I can stop it from happening again?

Movies can get to me like that sometimes too. what I have to remember is that it's not real, it's just a movie and a movie is no reason to start cutting again, no reason is a good reason for that matter. You said you were watching it with your husband right? Does he know you were feeling this way? you should talk him, if your married to him he should definitely be there for you and willing to comfort you.
Just remember it was just a movie and not real.
