How to cope with a voice - April 16th 2017, 07:44 PM

I've had a voice in my head since I was about 7.
But, lately it's been getting worse.
Sometimes I can ignore him completely, but now I can't do anything.
I managed to read books even with a voice in my head, I've managed to get A+ on tests with a voice in my head. I've been dealing with it fairly well.
It's getting louder and louder these few months. Couldn't read a book or study at all. My grades are suffering.
Does anyone know what to do? I'm taking medicine for it already, and it isn't helping.

Hi Paxvan,

This is my first time to really encounter someone who really experiences a voice in their head. I know it isnt fit to ask you at this moment since you are suffering from this voice...but I just want to know what does this voice says? Have you talked with a therapist?

Hi Pira!
The conversations between me and the voice I'm hearing are usually random.
Lately, he's been telling me to kill myself, though.
We have the most absurd conversations.
And if you ask me if it's just me talking to myself, actually no, I know what's talking to myself and what's hearing a voice.
Even for me who's been hearing a voice for a long time, I still struggle to understand the reason, or how it even works.
