Someone to talk to? - May 31st 2009, 08:15 PM

I'm sorry for posting a lot...I just really haven't got a clue how to cope to be honest. I want to harm myself, because I'm so damn depressed right now, and I'm really stressed. I guess I just need something to take my mind off things, someone to talk to or something, idk...*sigh*

It sounds like your mom is upset, she over reacted because she cares about you. She doesn't want to see her daughter hurting. It's really really important that you share your problems with her, tell her how you feel and explain to her, she probably will be supportive, and want to help you. But she can't help if you don't speak.

EDIT- Sorry for putting the advise as if you were a boy

Hey LJ,

I'm sorry your mom yelled at you But sometimes parent react that way because they've gone into major-parental-care mode and kind of choose to explode their concern rather than express in another way.

But once things have calmed down a bit, talking to your mom might be a good thing, to really get out on the table what's going on and what you'd like addressed.

Hang in there.

Drown in the music,
dance in the rain,
block out the thunder,
and let the scars fade.
