numb - June 14th 2009, 05:16 AM

I am such a mess. I am so numb and depressed. I swing between life and death, wanting to live, and die. I struggle each day to function. i can barely get out of bed, and go to work. I try, but I am so anxious, I can barely do anything. I pace, and worry, and my thoughts race so fast. I can't sleep. I just can't do this anymore..

Hey,

You can do this! I know it's really hard right now but you can get through this. Have you seen your doctor or some sort of medical proffesional about this. If not, maybe that would be a good place to start! They can help you get back on the right track in life.

I know what that daily struggle is. I've been there and I still get that way from time to time. You have to force yourself to keep pushing on and doing it though, otherwise, you'll just sink more into that state of mind. Try to do something that makes you happy, to get your mind off the hurt. Also, when you start thinking negativly, which is part of the depression, replace it with something positive, make sure it's spoken. Words are powerful and the more you speak positive things over yourself, the more you will believe it!

Don't give up!

Hey,

Cassie said it the best. Don't give up because it can and will get better. It may not seem like it now but it can. I have felt the same way as you are now but I am still here and I am glad. I am not completely better, I do things I shouldn't, but I don't want to die quite as much and the same thing can happen to you. Just keep on hoping and believing!

Like cassie said: Focus on the positive. Even if you can only find one positive thing in your life right now, keep focusing on that. Also, try remembering the times you felt happier. Remember what it felt like to feel happy and focus on that and the hope that you can and will feel like that again.

Talking to a professional is a great idea. Scary, yes, but it can be helpful. A professional can help you find the right coping tools and they can help you on your track to feeling happier. Directing you to the best doctors or whatnot.

Please don't give up and if you need someone to talk to feel free to pm or aim me!

What are you so afraid of? Instead of running from that fear, try to understand it.
