Help? - July 3rd 2009, 04:06 PM

I've just got a new job and I've had my contract through the post with some forms to fill in a send back. One of the forms is a medical history check and I have to sign to allow the company to access my medical records, but if they do they're going to find out that I'm on anit-depressants and I tried to kill myself a couple of months ago and I don't know what to do :/
I'm freaking out so bad. My manager cannot find out this stuff, but I cant leave it out of the form coz if they find out I've left stuff out I could get fired
I've gone through so much to hide this from everyone and now some stupid form is gonna mess everything up for me. I can't handle this.
What can I do?

Who needs to see you record???? your boss right???
well then only show him and no-one else, he is not aloud to show anyone thing like that.
and if you think that he will tell, just simply tell him not to, and maybe that you have changed from that time to this time........

I have to send it to head office and they'll probably tell my boss because it was only a couple of months ago that I tried to kill myself. I just don't want to be treated differently because of it and if they think that I'm not "stable" enough to work, they could fire me.

Hey Ella,

Sorry to hear that you attempted suicide; I hope you're feeling better. With regards to your boss finding out maybe you could explain that you feel stable enough to work and explain that you feel better and more able to cope. If you are recieving any help such as councelling etc then tell your boss that. If he can see you are OK to work then it should be fine.

Take care,
Jen
