Spending time with great people.
Good books and movies really do help.
Personally, I've found just even going out there for walks can help as opposed to watching television or being on the computer for huge amounts of time of the day.

Depressing music like Joy Division, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen.

'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' has turned me away from nihilism which my depression was causing.

Yeah, depressing music.
Going for EXTREMELY long walks with my Ipod blasting.
Sleep so then I don't feel a thing.
