feels like I've lost everything and everyone I ever loved... I've messed up everything. the person I love the most, probably will never be my best friend ever again.. and I have to live with that. and it's not easy.. please don't be like me and mess up your life by a few things you do without thinking.. one mistake, can ruin your whole life.. trying to find a reason to hang on...

Hi Katie,

*hugs*

what's going on, dearie? I know what it feels like, thinking that you've messed everything up. But it takes two people to argue. And sometimes, even when people are frighteningly mad, time is wonderfully surprising and other people's frustration calms down with it, and relationships that we thought were shattered turn out to have a chance at healing. And even when we do lose people we love, more people just end up coming into our lives.

Hang in there, Katie. You, all by yourself, are reason enough

I think that even when those sort of people, the people who are so close they might as well have been an appendage to our identity, end up drifting away somehow, we can both hold on to them and let go of them at the same time. We can hold on to stuff like memories, the ways they've changed us and whatnot, while still realizing that while they're definitely a major part of us, they're not all of us. Holding on to how they were expressed as part of us while letting go of the actual "who" is okay; we get to grow, too.
