Triggering (Suicide): Help?

I don't know if this is going to be triggering or not, so just to be safe I labeled it triggering...



My friend told me today that she wanted to commit suicide. Yikes! I don't know what to do!

I told the school "phsycologist" (whom but the way isn't an actually qualified), and he just said, "It's a stage that all teenagers go through". I think differently.

What am I supposed to do? He's obviously not going to get her help. And her parents know, but they just brush it off like it's no big deal...

Hiya Liz. You are a very good friend and you obviously care a lot as well.
The 'pyschologist' is talking rubbish.

The best thing to do, is stick by her, listen to her and make sure she feels loved.

And also...you may want her to talk to a doctor to get some counselling or therapy.

Whatever you do, please make sure you are there for her. Because if she needs a shoulder to cry it, it will be yours.

Dear Liz,
I understand, that's scary.
Could you maybe talk to her about going to a counselor outside of school? And maybe mention to someone at school what the guy there said, because he shouldn't be working there if he's going to say crap like that.
Try to talk to her and just make sure she knows she can come to you if she needs someone to talk to and just talk about whatever.

Aw, thankies. ^^
There are so many people around here that have the name Emily, it's kinda rediculous. =P
But that's pretty awesome that it's one of your best friend's name as well. ^^

that was a really stupid thing to say, not every teenager seriosly wants too kill them selves, where did she get that from! It says everywhere that when someone says that, it should be taken seriously...
