My life is crashing down! - October 14th 2009, 01:31 AM

I'm probably being cliche by saying this, but I feel like my life is crashing down. every since I've entered Senior year of High School, things have gotten so out of control that I can't fathom it.

First off since I basically bombed the SAT, I have to take the ACT. In terms of my academics, I'm a hard worker and have managed to pull off a 3.4 GPA. But for some reason, I didn't do to well on the SAT and now I'm forced to take the ACT.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been going well for I've been getting ridiculously low scores. These scores to me are painful, for they're not representing my abilities and thus, I always burst into tears. I honestly hate my life and the way its going now, and I feel as though I'm slipping.

I'm so conflicted right now for I don't know what to do?

Did you not study?
Or did you study to hard and overwhelm yourself.
What always works for me ( I am the same way) is seriously giving myself a break.
I am infamous for crying during big test like the ACT and SAT at my school.
I get overwhelmed and I cant focus and nothing makes sense.

Just seriously try being chill before the test dont think of failure or what may happen just the test.

It works

Oh I study, a lot actually. I know the ACT content well its just I have a bunch of problems. First and foremost, I overthink questions, no matter how simple they might be.

Also, I tend to not know what a particular question is asking. This is highly noticeble on the math section. The ironic part is that I'm actually good at math!

Sometimes I wish I wasn't hindered by these problems. Maybe then, I'll start to do well. But I have a feeling I'm never going to get anywhere, so maybe I shoulder accept the inevitable fate that I'm going to fail.

How can I? I've always been a good student and have always worked hard. I know I could do better, its just I feel as though something's holding me back.

This something is so frustrating, for if only I could overcome it. But I guess in a realistic world, that's never going to happen. I'm probably going to end up with a low score and thus, will have to painfully live with it, in utter shame.

YOU.
YOUR the REASON you CANTTTTT do it!!!
You keep telling yourself that you cant.

YOU CAN.

If you study and tell yourself that you can do it you will do a good job.
You a too negative and your beating yourself up too bad.

Hard work is nothing without self confidence,.

You need to work on that I believe that it is the root of your problems.

I know, its just, after the SAT's I lost most of confidence and has always been wary and critical of myself. But even if I have confidence, it always manages to slip away. Take for example my practice test today in English. I was feeling confident and good about completing it.

It was absolutely terrible. I don't even want to go into it for I feel so ashamed and such a disgrace. Thinking about it, I'm always brought on the verge of tears and thus, I feel so helpless.

Dont feel bad about yourself.
Look your trying!
There are so many people who are just wasting time.
They are not taking this as serious as you are.

I am proud of you!

I have some good news. After looking over my failed English section, I took another practice test and I managed to score a 24. Though its somewhat low, I'm happy with the score and will work my way up from there.
