Soon to be on the streets - October 22nd 2009, 07:02 PM

I need some advice
I don't know what to do.
My mom is having a break down, she's depressed and we are broke.
She says she doesn't know what to do anymore and I don't usually admit to this, but I'm terrified. She wants me to start looking at alternatives for living somewhere else...she says she can't live on anymore...

Please help me! Give me some advice on what to do...I feel so damn helpless. I hate this!

Hey there.
It's so hard for someone to be in the postition, never mind someone your age. Is you're mum getting any help? Maybe you can encourage her to go and see her doctor. If she refuses to go, and you really believe she is going to do something, then you can ring the emergency department at your hospital and they will send out a crisis team who will be more than willing to help you and your mum. I know this is a hard thing to do, and i know you're terrified, but you're mum needs help. If this get's to much for you, you should think about talking to someone to. About the money situation, i'm not sure what to suggest, but right now i think you need to sort both of you health issues out, and then get help with the money issues.
I'm always here for you.
Stay strong.

Is your mum seeing anyone for her depression? Being broke is hard but it wont always be like that. Maybe living somewhere else while your mum gets help for her depression could be a good thing. She may just be so overwhelmed with everything that is going on, and maybe some time apart and her getting help is the best thing. If
She isnt seeing a doctor maybe talk to her about it. Also if everything is getting to hard for you, maybe think about seeing someone as well. If the both of you look after your health then thats a good start to getting everything else back on track.
pm me anytime you need to talk.
