Blargh. - October 23rd 2009, 09:13 PM

I haven't been to school in a month...I've been so tired and angry. I barely have the energy to brush my teeth or wash my hair, let alone get dressed and go to school. (Don't worry, I'm at a charter school where class-time isn't required to pass. It's like home-schooling almost, so as long as I get my work done, it's okay.) But still, I'm expected to meet with my teacher twice a week, and I haven't done that.

She knows I'm dealing with depression, anxiety, and migraines, and she's been pretty understanding, but I know she's irritated with me now. I don't blame her. I'm screwing up royally and I don't even have the decency to try to do better. Don't get me wrong-- I am trying, but I'm so tired all the time that I usually just give up and go back to bed before I can get any schoolwork done.

I did start seeing a therapist again, so that's good, but it's going to take me a long time before I have any kind of permanent solution to my depression problems (if I ever find one at all.)

Next week is going to be better. I'm going to make it better, because I have to stop disappointing myself. If I don't get accepted to any colleges a year from now, I don't want it to be because I didn't work hard enough. Blargh.

Welp, it sounds like you have a good understanding of what's going on, and I'm a big fan of the positive self-talk. Good luck, Laura. We're behind ya!
