Long road, full of mistakes - February 15th 2010, 11:23 PM

I did stuff that, really fucked me up in the head. like i don't even speak about the things i did. over the years of not talking about my life to anyone i started to cage myself off from everyone. didn't talk to my family about things or i didn't talk to the counclers. if someone wanted to know how i was doing i would just simply put it "I'm good" then walk away. It's like really messing with me. I'm getting depressed alot because of it. I smoked pot for about 3 years then stoped about 3 months ago. since i quit smoking i've had time to think about the things i've done and i beat myself up over it. i guess i'm just here to ask how to forget the past and live in the present. because the only thing i ever think about is when i was younger and how everything was alright.

There is no way to really forget about it. It is more of getting over it and accepting that what's done is done and all you can do is make a better future.

I'm so tired of pretending everything's okay, my tears are starting to show and my smile is fading away.
PM or VM me if you need me, I'm here if you need someone to talk to or to just listen. I also have most messangers if you want to talk on one of those.

Hey there,
I think you need to accept the fact that you did things wrong but you are ready to change. I know it can be hard but just start by changing little things in your life and work up. You need to understand that this may be hard but you need to focus on the present because you can't go back and change things. Also, don't be afraid to tell people how you feel. I think you need to talk to someone about these things because holding them in, no matter how long, can affect you long term. Even just calling a hotline to let everything out to someone you don't know. Find a friend or someone accepting and just let them know you have made mistakes but you are ready to change. Let me know if you want to talk.
Take care,

Alessa

Hello there.

Well first, i suggest setting up a time for yourself to meditate about this. And when you start, begin by :

1.) Accepting it. Just accept it in your heart that you did these stuff.

2.) Think about them/confront them and while thinking about them, forgive yourself.

3.) Talk about those things to someone you feel you can trust. They were your own mistakes that affected you, so it is your choice to keep them private. However talking about them will help you confront them.

4.) Live your life.

I came here to help out, so if you wanna talk or just need someone to bounce ideas or issues off of or something else then send me a message and I will reply as soon as I can.
