Depressed when alone - March 25th 2010, 05:19 AM

I so don't get this.
I used to be a pretty happy person most of the time.
But not so much anymore.
We think maybe i have PMDD.
but PMDD is supposed to go away by the 2nd day of your period.
And most of my problems have.
Except for one.

Whenever i'm alone.
And I mean each and every time wether it is for 3 minutes or longer,
I get depressed.
Like about ready to cry.
And I just feel terrible.

And i used to love having alone time.
I'd hide out in my room just to get away.
but that doesnt work anymore.

So... does this happen to anyone else?

welcome to my world! just wait till the end of your period, and keep yourself occupied. it helps me to talk to things.

i wonder when i'll finally jsut start accepting myself, when i'll stop saying i wish i could be like that person.

I have that same thing going on too, and I have no idea why it happens. I've been that way for about 3 months now.

I just got back from the doctors. She tried to tell me that PMDD is the same as PMS which instanlty makes me not like her. And she wants me to a counselor. But honestly I don't want to go talk to some random person about my problems. Not in person. I'll cry. And I hate crying in front of people. Gah. I just don't know what to do anymore. I should feel better by now. But I don't.

When you are alone and nobody is around try to focus on things that make you happy, focus on good times with your friends or call up a friend and talk, or go to the mall or the movies, hang out with your friends or a family member. Just try to surround yoruself with people and optimistic thoughts, things that won't make you sad or bring back these feelings.
