cant do anything.. - June 3rd 2010, 03:06 PM

i am not sleeping, eating, going to school/prac/work. im just not myself lately. its the middle of the night and ive just gotten out of bed. wide awake. havent been able to sleep. just cant. can to anything. please help!

Im sorry that you dont feel like yourself right now. Is there a lot on your mind right now? Like I know that sometimes when that would happen to me, my mind would be racing- but I wouldnt be able to figure out why because it was racing so fast that there were no thoughts. Other times I would know why because I would be focusing on something. So are you able to figure out why you are feeling so depressed right now?
Also, right now, just take a few deep breathes. Just because you are having trouble right now does not mean that you cannot do anything. It just means that you need a break. Everyone needs a break in life. I know that you are probably feeling down about not being able to go to school/work/practice but honestly it is understandable. I know that right now that it is hard to see it that way, but it is ok. Sometimes things get too hard and in order for you to be able to get back on your feet you need to stop. And its really ok. Just take things one step at a time. Try to relax your mind right now and try not to worry about all the things that are happening. Try to focus on something else, something that is relaxing. Maybe put on a movie (whenever I am feeling down, I put on a disney movie or something kinda childish because then you dont have to think).

We all have those moments in your lives where we don't feel motivated because of depression or because things haven't been going well lately, and believe me I've been there. Your motivation and your energy will come back to you, maybe this is your body's way of telling you you just need to take a break from everything for awhile and deal with the stress and the problems in your life first, and then get back to your daily routine or find something else that works better for you.
