An attractive proposition? - July 1st 2010, 12:40 AM

I went to see my doctor on Monday and it was the first time i've ever told anyone about how i truly feel ( i held back a little ) but when i told her that when i go to sleep at night and hope that i don't wake up...i felt like the most selfish prick on the planet.
I read something the other day that got me thinking, it may have been on here i don't remember. It went something like if you could have glimpsed what your life was going to be like would you have chosen to come into the world, well i'm not so sure i would have gotten on board.
I feel like i was just tossed into the world and not given the proper tools to have a good crack at it, somewhat defective.
Dying is on my mind alot of the time now, the relief that it would bring seems like an attractive proposition.

I know how attractive the decision sounds,
but in the end, it is completely not worth it.
I promise you. Suicide hurts the people who love you.
And even though you may not realize it, there are people who love you out there.
I would never want to put someone I cared about through that pain.
Everyone has a purpose in life.
Maybe that one moment for you hasn't happened yet.

Life is too short to think about how depressing it is.
Go out and have fun.
Be happy.
Your time will come when its meant to.
And perhaps in the future you can look back at how you feel now and think,
"Wow, I'm glad I made the decision to stay. It was worth it."

I hoped it helped some(: Or maybe gave a different perspective.
I've been there if that helps at all.
Feel free to message me if you need anything.

The quote was from Nietzsche, and it's best you consider it in its original form. What he asked was, were you given the choice of reliving your entire life all over again for eternity, would you take that chance? If no, then you're not living your life properly.

So why did he say that? What he was trying to get across was that if you wouldn't be happy to live as you do now forever, then change your life. You have the rest of your life to make perfect, and you should do whatever you can to write your future in the way you want to write it. With a little courage and effort, you can make your life something you want to live in.
