To Write ove on Her Arms Day :) -

Last fall I heard of a story about a girl I can't really remember her name forgive me,but anyway she has an incredable story about how she made November 13th (I think that's the day) national suicide prevention day it's called To Write Love on Her Arms Day,I can't remember the website that I found but i'm sure if you google it you can find it,it's a really cool Organazation,and now the tradition sticks so that on To Write Love on Her Arms Day people all across the world write the word "LOVE" on their arms to support national suicide prevention day i'm beginning to take this seriously b/c November 11th of last year my best friends cousin shot herself in her bathtub while her parents were getting groceries,he called me crying that night telling me about how her teeth were found all over the floor,and when the people were takeing her body downstairs blood stained the carpets so bad that they had to get new carpet on the stairs,so after her body was gone they tour the bloody carpet off the staircase,then he was gone for about a week he left the state to go to her funeral,I felt terrable,I told everyone at my church to pray for that girls family,it still breaks my heart just thinking about it
 and like I guess from what he told me she called him like 4 minets before her parents heard the gunshot,that was right bas they were taking groceries inside,and he missed the call so he felt really guilty,b/c he felt like if he hadn't have missed the call he could've stopped her.

Just a thought but maybe this should be labelled as triggering?
But anyways, TWLOHA is quite a big organization now. I think the name you are looking for is Renee? And I believe this is the site you're thinking of (it's probably changed a bucnh, I think they remodeled?) http://www.twloha.com/ I'm sure most of us on TH know about the days people write love on their arm (there are quite a few throughout the year) but thank you for reminding people that it will be coming up in a few months.  I'm really sorry to hear about what happened to your best friend's cousin. Suicide is a really serious issue. "'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.' I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish. 'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.' 'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said. 'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'" |
