Do I say something? - June 27th 2011, 05:58 PM

Not sure where to put this sorry.
I guess this is a pointless question and I already know it's stupid but I'll ask it anyway.

So I have been struggling lately. Everything is getting worse and things are just getting worse and worse. My self harm is getting deeper and more frequent. I am overdosing a lot. I am pushing everyone away because then I can end things more easily and don't hurt anyone as much. I just feel lost.
I have been diagnosed and am seeing a professional. Anyway to my question. I haven't really told anyone about this. I don't trust my friends enough. My mom wouldn't understand and I hold back to much in my doctors appointments. There is this teacher that I like and I think I could maybe open up a little to her but the only problem is that she goes on maturnity leave this friday. So I'm not sure if theres any point in saying anything or not? Also I don't think it's fair to tell her. Why get anyone else involved?

Hey there (: ,

In my opinion, I definitely think that you should tell someone. Or not hold back so much when you go to your doctor's appointments. The doctors are just there to help you, but they can do anything to help unless you tell them what's wrong. You teacher seems like a good person to open up to. Maybe if you open up to her, and she seems like she genuinely cares and would like to continue you can get her email. That way you can just talk to her through email while she's on leave. You don't have to fully get her involved, just ask her if you can talk to her because you want to talk to someone and hear their opinion on it.

As I mentioned before, if you don't decide to tell your mom, your friends, or your teacher I definitely think that you shouldn't hold back when talking to your doctor. They're there to help you.

I hope you things start getting better for you.
