Unhappy Strange Head Rushes - July 22nd 2011, 06:55 AM

Hi, I'm 15 years old and just finished a very stressful year in grade 9. Around exams, my behaviour began to change, and I felt weaker and more fatigued even when I was well-rested. My family and I later found out that the symptoms and the behaviour matched that of clinical depression. Just starting today, I started getting head rushes every 10 or so minutes, but my vision doesn't go black, it goes blurry almost and I see a flashback or image of someone or something that changes every time I get one. They're scary and I'm unsure of what it may be and what's causing it. Please help me.

Well, especially if your parents already know, i suggest making a doctors appointment. Maybe some medical advice and even medication to help the depression might be really helpful.

good luck

Yes, definitely talk to your family since they know and get in to see a doctor (could be your family doctor or a counselor).

I'm not sure of the images part, but the head rushes I get when I'm overstressed. If I get overwhelmed, I feel very dizzy and lightheaded and my vision blurs. The images could just be what you are overwhelmed about or a flashback of something traumatic that may have happened to you.

Either way, when you get them, don't panic. Let it happen and then ask someone for support.

Feel free to Private Message me if you need/want to.
