a friend - July 28th 2011, 02:38 AM

hi, my best friend has severe depression and i really need help. because i never know what to say, i always seem to say the wrong things at the wrong time.

can i please have some advice on how to comfort her, or make her feel a little bit better at least.
i love her to bits, but i just cant help her as much as i want to.
someone please help?

Hey Kyran,
I am glad to see you are trying to help your friend out, only if I had a griend like you when I was depressed. Many people act differently during depression and npeople need different type of comforting. just as an example, she might like for someone to listen to her and just to agree with her. Some people just need to be reminded that you are always there for them. What I can say is just always be around her to help when she needs help. You are doing a good for a person and she will be greatful for you eventually. Hope everything goes well for you

You're a great friend for that. Sometimes all you can do is be there and be supportive.
