What are your 2018 pet moments? - December 10th 2018, 07:19 PM

What are some 2018 pet moments you had with your pet(s)? Pet moments can be anything from inspiring, funny, cute, good memories, milestones, setbacks, or anything else.

At the beginning of the year I needed to place my dog into foster while I took care of myself. It was devastating for me. After four months I was reunited with him and it's been such a rewarding time since. I love him to pieces. He's my fur-baby.

The only pet I have at home is a hamster simply because Australia doesn’t have them and they were so cute I wanted one. His name is Spartacus and he doesn’t really do much except for at 5am every day go for a run on his wheel which really needs to be greased because all it does is make a very high pitched noise which wakes us up every morning.

I’m also going to mention the pets at the animal shelter seeing as they’re practically my baby’s now with me volunteering there. There’s so many puppies there that have now successfully chewed my shoelaces up and the bottom of my coat. There’s also a dog that jumps literally everything and he’s a sweetheart but you kind of feel like you’re invading his privacy if he does it in front of you. There’s a German shepherd that has a teddy bear that she always carries with her even on walks and only puts it down when she’s pooping. It’s adorable.

I know this may not be the best pet moment but for me it's when I get to have cuddles with my dog. There was one time when I was in bed and she jumped in with me. She just laid there with me and wanted me to keep patting her when I stopped.

I don't have a pet, but today, the backdoor was open a bit and the neighbour's cat came in without us noticing. And when we noticed her, she was curled up in a pile of old curtains that were in the washing basket. She looked so comfy

I was struggling a bit earlier this year and my cat cuddled with me a lot. It was as if she knew that I was struggling and wanted to comfort me. She's my baby and I absolutely love her.

Another, more recent one, my dad's cat has been laying in my room more often. He tends to not come back here but the past week or two he's been back here when I come home from work. When I crawl into bed he will stay which isn't common with him. He usually gives me a 'WTF' look whenever I have the audacity to sit near him.

My old poodle had a tooth removed.
I think it was earlier this 2018 or late 2017 but Dobby tore her duclaw off.
And my step mom got a new puppy to train as a therapy dog.

This year I hope Dobby can also be a therapy dog. She's very friendly and sweet and eager to please.
