Anyone have horses?

I was wondering, foes anyone have horses? I have a 6 year old Paint gelding. He is a ex-racehorse.

No, i never had one, but i used to lease them when I was probably between 11 and 14. The first one I leased was Kiwi. He was the BEST little pony ever. My first show was in December 2005, it was the christmas show, i was 11...we got reserve champion and two clear rounds for jumping! Kiwi was a Welsh Mountain Pony, he was grey and was only 12.2hh! Then I got Vinny, he was not so nice...threw me off at pony club, so I got Kiwi back. When i was nearly 13 i got too big for kiwi so borrowed another pony called Jeff. He was really old so couldnt do that much. Then I leased another one called Candy. He was okay, a little chestnut pony. He didn't like jumping though and threw me off right infront of the jump! Then winter came 2008 came around and I slowly stopped riding. Now I havent ridden in ages. I miss it ALOT though, especially little Kiwi. He was my buddy.

Yes! 3! One is Laramie ("Mare") who's a 20+ year old Quarter Horse/Appaloosa, then there's Tonka who's a chestnut 14yo Quarter Horse, and then the newest addition (though it's been almost a year now) is Takoda, who is an ex-racehorse that we rescued so he wouldn't be sent to the slaughter auctions. Mare is really my horse and by far my favorite, though she's getting to be a grouchy old lady!

I don't but I do ride every week and compete a fair amount in dressage when I can find a horse to ride...which isn't often ; ;

We had them adjust our horses a few years ago and they did great.My gelding ran so much better after that.We're actually taking some of our horses to be done Saturday,as they are coming to a friend of our's barn, and they are right down the road from us.The only thing I have a problem with is the price. When we had them done last time it was at a three day show and he charged like $80 for the weekend.Now it is $120 per horse.We have several that need done, but just can't afford to have more than two done.

i have two 148cms (14.2hhs) at the moment and we do BSJA (British Show Jumping) to Newcomers level at the moment (sounds really low but its 2nd highest) and hopefully this year Foxhunter classes at 1m10, so fingers crossed!! The ponies are both real characters, one of them is such a love bug and loves to be cuddled and the other one bites your head off if you go near him but i love them to bits (: i think anyone with horses does. I don't do dressage, mainly because i can never be bothered with all the fancy flatwork, its just make sure theyre going in a bounce and jump! for me, and I hate cross country so yeah, show jumping ftw!!

Yes well i loan/lease a 14hh Fell pony called Herbie (he's on full loan) he's awesome! hes 12 years old and completely black we concentrate on showjumping mainly, but i wish we could do a little more XC! I have had him 6 months 3 days ago :P He is my second horse i have leased. But I have also helped to break in a few youngsters and and i rode at a riding school for 2/3 years where i learnt the basics. Now i just concentrate on Herbie and take lessons on him,
btw, that isnt him on my display picture! even though he looks very similar :P

@dropsofjupiter I wish i could do BSJA , but no where near me which does it and i have limited transport

We have 6, I miss them all right now as I'm away at college. Buttons, Katie, Candi, Orlando, Cody, and Michinco. 3 arabians, 2 paso finos and one quarter horse/ standardbred. They are stubborn but I love them all. I miss my babies

I don't have a horse of my own but I've been around them my whole life and have ridden a few before. I wish I had my own though. Maybe oneday.

Paints are my favorites! I don't have one, but my sister is really into that. She goes to college for Pre-Vet and is at some thing at Santa Anita in California for Equine Vets. That probably doesn't make sense. But yeah haha.

I don't own a horse but I hope to someday ! I used to lease 15.3 hand Appendix QH named mambo. We had a special special bond !
