Rest In Peace, Sunny... - January 8th 2010, 06:53 PM

So last night was my kitty's last night with us. He is almost 18 years old. His name is Sunny. We got him when I was 2 1/2, my first memory ever is of the day we got him. I remember picking him out and naming him. He was my childhood. He's been sick for quite some time. He has a sore on his side, and he throws up almost everything he eats, and the other day he threw up blood. He is also completely incontinent. He's seen the vet but there really isn't anything they can do for him. I'm having a really hard time letting him go, because he still purrs...I know it's for the best, but it still hurts. It feels like my heart is breaking. He goes to the vet to be put down in 15 minutes...My brother and I are having a conflict because both of us want his ashes, so we are going to ask the vet if they can divide it. I know that sounds weird, but we both love him so much. Regardless of who the ashes "belong" to, as long as my brother and I live in the house we share with my parents, the urn(s) are going to be placed in patches of sunlight throughout the house. You could always find Sunny laying in the sun and I think that's where he'd want to be.
Even just typing this out is making me cry. I'm not going to the vet with him because I know I will fall apart. My brother and my mom are going.
I'll miss you Sunny...<3

Life isn't about worrying,
That's a waste of time.
And life isn't about being perfect,
It will never happen.
Life is about finding yourself,
And finding people who accept that person.

Awww, Im so sorry to hear about the your cat. Its good that he lived a long life and its even better you remember good times.

I know it will be hard, losing him, but he wont be sick anymore....he will be in kitty heaven, free from pain.

Im so sorry he has to be put down, but its for the best. No more sickness

He may not be here physically, but he will always be there in your mind.

Once again, I am so sorry to hear the bad news and I hope you are able to cope.

Now Im crying as well, because I know what its like losing a pet...

R.I.P Sunny

Aww, I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is very, very hard, especially if you're very close to your pets, like it sounds like you were to Sunny. It's a very hard thing to go thought, but he's in a better place now, and I'm sure he's happy. The fact that he still purred says a lot about you as the owner. You must have been a great owner and he must have loved you very much.

Aww, I'm so sorry! *Hugs*
I had to give up a cat I had when I was about 5 because my mom was allergic, and that was quite a sad day for me. You can take all the time you want to mourn of course, but perhaps one day when you are ready, you can buy another pet and fall as much in love with that one as you did with Sunny.
Again, I'm very sorry for your loss, and if you need anyone to just vent out to or be a friend, I'm here. I hope I could be of some help.
