JR the neighbor's cat - November 6th 2010, 09:14 PM

Okay, so my parents live on the water and I lived here until earlier this year. Well there's this cat that lives next door and his owners just ditch him to spend 98% of their time in Florida (or somewhere warmer). Its kinda ok in the summer, but not really, but when the cold rolls around I can't help but feel terrible for him!

I would love to take him back to my condo with me, where he'll be all cozy and warm; and away from the brutal New England weathers. But he's an outdoors cat, so that wouldn't do so well with him being indoors all the time suddenly.

We've lived here permanently since 2007, and now I live somewhere where snow stays more than five hours or until the tide comes in. Every winter, I just worry constantly about him. He's somewhere between 8 and 13, I'm not sure, but he's getting old in terms of cat years.

I love that you are willing to take in that cat. If he is an outdoors cat, then he might not mind being left alone like that. He is probably used to being independent. But to help out the poor kitty, you can always pet him and feed him!

I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh
