My puppy is going through a phase where she just barks constantly. A lot of the time it's for no reason but sometimes she barks at my cat.
It doesn't annoy me very much normally but it annoys me when she's doing it at 3am  I'm a light sleeper as it is and she really doesn't help :/ Her bark is soooo shrill also it gives me a headache. Is there any way to get her to stop? It's going through me.

She is just a puppy so there really isn't much you can do to stop it. When my dogs were puppies they were the same way but it was only a phase that didn't last very long. She probably just discovered her voice and is enjoying the sound of it. But it is just a phase so it will stop.

It's like a kid going through their terrible twos or something. A dog does that when it wants attention, or it's trying to prove itself, or it likes the sound of it's own barking. If it scares your cat, this could last longer. Personally, my cat would attack the dog barking at her, she doesn't take anything for no one. xD

Well, in my experience, dogs don't usually bark at nothing. Most of the time, they want something. Maybe if you try and figure out why she's barking? Is it at certain sounds, or sights? Is she bored? Hungry? Lonely?
If you can figure out why she barks, it can help you train her not to. Or maybe you could try and teach her to bark on command, and therefore be quiet on command? That's not something I've ever been able to do with my dog, but who knows, it may work with yours.  As the others have said, it could just be a phase, in which case you'll just have to hope she grows out of it soon. Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |

She seems to bark when everyone is in bed so she's probably bored and wants to play :| I would try and teach her but she's... well, really stupid
She was licking the table leg yesterday :|
