Does anyone else on here love ferrets? I have one. His name is Fred. He is an old (7) ferret and fat. But I love him.

I have never owned a ferret. I am indifferent about them I think they are cute, but they also scare the crap out of me lol.

Wait, I don't get it, why are they scary? I mean, I'd be worried about them biting me, just since they've got a reputation for having a nasty bite, but if the owner assured me that the animal isn't likely to bite and it didn't seem like it wanted to eat my fingers, I'd be fine.

It's not they can bite. If that were the case, I would be afraid of all animals.  I think for me, it's just small, wiggly, biting, fast animals scare me. Ferrets however, are very cute. From afar.

My boyfriend and I have 4.
3 boys and a girl. The boys are all just around 2. youngest is just over 1 1/2 The girl we're not sure on, but we believe she is just over 1. =] They are our life, seriously. We just spent 4 hours in a car going out of state to pick up a cage for $150, spend at least an annual vet visit for $400, and we're still buying them things! If anyone wants, I can post pics of my furballs. Ciara, try to use tinypic.com and copy the [img] link. Mine's been thru a lot. lol
I came home from school one day, and he was curled up in a ball asleep. He wouldn't wake up. My dad was scared about it and took him to the vet. Turned out he passed out from a low blood sugar. He's a diabetic. He never showed the signs, so we never noticed. Now he has tumors, but he acts like they don't hurt him. Idk what i'd do without him, i've had him for 8 years today. |

Yeah, poor things are sooooo prone to diseases!
My ferts names: Bonkers, Booth, Lincoln, Riley. We thought Bonkers had Insulinoma but he has tested negative for it so far. Can you get the tumors removed? If you want any help or advice PM me. I've become a ferret expert :P I know a few people who run ferret rescues and breed them. There's also a forum you may want to check out, but if you're interested PM. =] Your guy sounds like a trooper! <3 So you have gray hair and you're only 26
