I had to give up me cat and dog -

I had to give up and cat and dog. I got both from the shelter. They were always there for me. Now I can't be there for them. It sucks! They waited for me for months while I had to be away. I came back and they remembered me, slept with me, gave me love and kept me warm but because of me we lost everything. Now they are living with another family. I'm suppose to be able to visit, but haven't been able to. I need them. They need me. Losing them hurts so much. idk what to do anymore.

Mary,
I read this and totally understand. I just had to give up my dog to a shelter. It does hurt tons, and I am sorry that you are having to go through it. What helped me is realizing my dog is going to a better home, and that the shelters do all they can to make sure the animals get a good home. You're going to feel empty, like something is missing, but you will feel better in time. <3  I was looking for a breath of life For a little touch of heavenly light But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh |

Mary, I can relate too...My mother gave away our 4 cats. One of them was mine, and it's been 2 years but I still think about him.
At least they went to another family instead of a shelter. That family will give them lots of love, same as you have. I'm sorry you had to give them up. =[ So you have gray hair and you're only 26
