She's Gone -

Three years ago, I first moved in with my aunt. My younger cousin and I kept bugging her about getting a cat. The three of us went and together got a young, beautiful cat we called Peaches. Today, she was put to sleep because we found out she had cancer. I saw her this morning before I went to work, and when I came back everyone was sitting around and I couldn't find peaches anywhere. They told me she was put down and they burried her. I was heart broken to hear it, and hurt that no one told me. Or that they didn't wait for me to help burry her. I had to ask what was going on. I get their upset, my poor cousin is has been crying her eyes out all afternoon non-stop! I'm really heart broken by this and I just figured this sweet cat deserved a post here.

Jessica, I am terribly sorry to hear about your aunt's cat. It's sad when a pet passes away.

Thanks, it really is sad. It was not like she was old either. She was pretty young for a cat too and it's so different because during the day she is always in my room with me, meowing at me and trying to lay on my laptop.
 I just wish they would of warned me. I never knew what was going to happen. They told everyone else but me and when I asked about it I was entirely rejected like I was diseased or something.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's definitely a difficult situation to be in, no matter whether or not you know about in advance. It's never easy losing a pet, especially one as young as Peaches was.
Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |
