Could it be infected? - April 25th 2012, 07:32 PM

Okay... So a few days ago, think it was Friday, I cut quite a lot on my hip. I don't cut deep but I have a tendency to cut multiple times over and over, and then diagonally over the cuts. My hip started to get itchy where I cut on Sunday/monday, Today I noticed that pus stuff was coming through the plaster and the plaster had gone hard (weird). It's also started to happen a tiny bit on my other hip where I cut on Monday. They were only thin cuts, but I took the plasters off today and it there's two kind of open fleshy 'splats' on my skin. PLEASE HELP?! It's kind of hard to explain without a picture but that would be twisted:/ just someone, please tell me what you think... I have the problem of no one in real life knowing, so I can't tell parents/friends/teachers to get help....*
Thank you. <3*

It could possibly be infected. Clean it with some rubbing alcohol and peroxide and then out neosporin and a band aid on it. Try not to let them get infected it can make you reaslly sick. I hope you get better soon <3

i doubt it is infection, unless it's swollen, sore, red, you have a fever and yellow puss (that really smells bad) comes out of it, it's fine
