Epiphany - August 27th 2012, 11:50 PM

So, I spent this weekend at the awesome rockingham castle for the latest show of my re-enactment group. while I was there I ended up talking to this family, a husband, wife and daughter. They were one of those families whose lifes are great, good jobs, steady relationship, comfortable living, and so on.

However, just as they left I saw that the womans arms were covered in scars, but no new cuts. Clearly at some point in her life she was a serious self harmer, but managed to stop and make something out of life and become truly happy.

This made me realise that if one person can do it, so can everyone else, we just need to be strong enough to face the challenges and overcome them.

P.S. I'm sorry that this is badly worded, but it's a nice thought and I wanted to share it. love ya

P.P.S. Does this count as an epiphany, or have I got the wrong word?

Women are women, regardless of sex,
and men are men, in the same respects.

You can be both, or a mix of the two,
or you can be neither, if that's what suits you.

But people are people, whatever their parts,
because what really matters, is inside of our hearts.

Well, it goes to show how far a lot of determination gets you!

Also, it may be sort of an epiphany - without meaning to go into the different parts of culture and etymology of the English language, it depends whether you realised it before, really.
