Question Returning feelings... - September 21st 2012, 05:59 AM

I've been "clean" so to speak since May, but quite recently, I've been gradually getting overwhelming desires to cut. I think it has to do with the changing of the seasons (some people tend to get especially depressed around summer to fall and winter to spring transitions), so it's not entirely surprising. But I really, really don't want to fall back into that horrifying pattern again after 6 years. I'm tired hurting myself and others due to breaking promises I've made with people I love and covering my body in more scars.

Basically, does anyone have any suggestions of alternatives that really do work? I've tried a lot of them, including smoking to reduce anxiety about it. But I've since quit since, well, it's not exactly good for you.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions /:

But as for me, I'm coming to my final failure
I've killed myself with changes trying to make things better
But I ended up becoming something other than what I had planned to be.

Hey there.
There's a really great list of alternitives here.

I know the urges get really, really bad. I'm really sorry they've returned, but I know you can beat them.
Hang in there hun.
