I have been self harming for a while but im looking for a safe spot to do it.
I have been doing it right about where your leg meets the rest of you and on the front of that, but I am concerned about how safe it is to do it there.

We can't encourage you to harm yourself so I'm wondering if telling you where to harm would do just that.

Self harming on any part of your body can pose risks if you go too deep or hit a vein. You would also have to worry about the wound getting infected.

Instead, you should try using an alternative to self harm. There is a list here. These are safe ways to cope as well as break the habit of self harm! You can also speak to a trusted adult to get support.

You wouldn't really be encouraging, you would be helping to not put myself at further risk.

I agree with Dez we can not encourage self harm in anyway so telling you were the safest place to cut isn't an option in my opinion because if we told you then you might cut more often and stuff because we said its a safe place. Besides I don't think there is any "safe" place to cut because your always running the risk of hitting a vein or cutting to deep. I would recommend the alternatives thread that Dez has posted the link for instead of cutting and if you ever need to talk you can always pm me.

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are
