HI EVERYBODY! Thanks to the advice and support I've received from this website and the support forums, I was able to do something today that seemed impossible for a full 7 months-- tell my dad that I self harm. While I still have all the same problems I had yesterday, things are now looking up and I will be getting professional help soon. My dad was amazing at handling everything and I love him so much for that. So now begins my journey to recovery. I love you all and thank everyone who helped and gave me advice in the past months.

I am so glad that we were able to support you, and that you were able to tell your dad that you self harm! Things ARE looking up and it is so amazing that your dad is supportive and getting you help! Keep us updated!

I'm really glad TeenHelp was able to help you! That's extremely great that you were able to tell your dad and now you're getting support. It's such a big step towards recovery and I'm glad you were able to do it. You should be proud of yourself. Congratulations.

I'm glad this site and the people on it were able to support you and help you. That is such a big step telling your dad that you self-harm. I'm glad he was really supportive of it and you are going to get the help you need.
