the jinxes are getting to me - January 27th 2015, 02:01 AM

I'm really afraid the jinxes are listening (please don't laugh, I really believe it)

Something bad is going to happen and if I don't cut from now I will be allowing it.

I also kept making bets with myself and if a certain result happened I said I would cut and it did happen. I basically dared myself to and I can't back out because that's like cheating.

If something bad happens it will be all my fault because I messed up the balance.

Hey,

Perhaps you can try and prove the jinxes wrong a bit? For instance, you can try to list reasons why things won't happen just because you don't cut. Remind yourself that you are safe, that everything will be okay. List everything else that may sort of prove the jinxes wrong and show that you are okay, cutting or not. It may reassure you to use positive-self talk and to replace negative thoughts.

In the future before starting to make bets for yourself remind yourself where that ends up. For now, maybe you can find a way to "start over?" For instance, you can remind yourself that not all the time to people play "games" exactly as the "rules" state, and therefore you can always "start over?" Of course, this time don't actually bet.

You will be okay. I think everything will work out.

Sorry that his wasn't much help but I'm thinking of you. <3

Thank you Dez. It really helped because I decided to start over for the bets and told myself that the rules has exceptions and therefore i t doesn't count like I'm cheating if I don't do them. The jinxes get strong at certain times but I'm managing to keep them away for now.
