This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

My parents are always yelling at me because I never stay out of the hospital long enough to make it to my doctor's appointments. I have one with my psychiatrist on Friday. I've been cutting pretty bad and am trying not to limp. I plan on telling my parents at the appointment and show them then. I just have to make it until then.

Hey c:

It's very good you are trying to stop hurting yourself. I'm really proud of you for that. Have you tried any alternatives to injuring yourself? A big list of some can be found here
http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f12-s...ves-self-harm/ One thing I am going to try is to get a wet washrag/face cloth and stick it in the freezer. Then whenever I feel the need to self-injure I take it out, get it has flat as I can, and wipe my face with it or hold it until I can't stand it anymore. I'm always here if you need someone to talk to, stay strong

You should definitely take a look at the alternatives thread that Crystal provided above. Perhaps you can find other ways to express your feelings, like blogging or journaling. If you feel like you're going to hurt yourself, you can call a hotline so you have someone to talk through your urges with. Best of luck at your appointment!
