hey everybody, i'm sorry. i cut last night. i didn't know what to do. i don't want to do this anymore.

Tell an adult.
It's hard, i know, it's really really hard to tell people, but it will help in the long run. an adult can get you the help you need to get through this.
And whenever you feel like cutting just try to think of all the things you want to do with your life, like going to college, getting a job, getting married...
That's what helps me when I'm feeling bad and want to hurt myself.

Hey Erika. You don't need to apologize for cutting. Every one of us has dealt with the guilt and the impact of cutting, so you're definitely not alone in this.

What feelings did you have last night that caused you to cut? Point them out to yourself, become familiar with those feelings, try your best to realize WHY you feel them, and come up with reasons that you can deal with them the next time you're feeling them. Have yourself armed with distractions and alternatives. Have a plan for the next time you get an urge and feel the need to hurt yourself. Take charge of your life and your emotions, don't let cutting take that control. If you want to recover, it's up to you to try your best to gain control of those feelings, and recognize that you're a stronger, better person, without self harm. You don't owe anyone any apologies, not anyone but yourself. You need to realize that it's NOT okay that you decided to cut last night, and you need to convince yourself that from now on, you're going to try your best to deal with your emotions in healthier, better ways.
I think that's really a huge step towards recovering from your addiction.
