Hiding the Scars - August 10th 2009, 04:19 AM

How do you hide the scars on your arm besides just wearing a long sleeved shirt. I've tried using coverup, but they can still be seen.
I've also tried rubbing Vitamin D gel on it every night as soon as my scabs have healed and it's been 4 months and the scars are still quite visible.
I'm tired of people asking me what happened everyday.

Chunky bracelets, or just a lot of beaded ones.
Big watches.
Fish net arm bands
Dermablend
cocoa butter can reduce the appearance of scars over time.

Honestly I gave up on hiding my scars and if people notice them they don't usally ask me about them sometimes people do but most of the time i just catch them stairing at them...you could try madurma(spelling)

We may shine, we may shatter,
We may be picking up the pieces here on after,
We are fragile, we are human,
We are shaped by the light we let through us,
We break fast, cause we are glass.
Cause we are glass.

Thanks! The problem is, I've cut up to my elbows, so it's really hard hiding them. Especially since I carved "I'm sorry" into my arm... Stupid me, I know

Hey Rachel :]
Covering up scars is definitely a challenge, but there are a lot of techniques you can use to make them less visible. I'd check out this article: http://forums.teenhelp.org/f78-self-...cover-up-tips/ for tips on how to best hide your scars. There are a lot of suggestions listed there, so I'm sure you'll find a few that will help you out. Best of luck
