why is this still bugging me?? - September 8th 2009, 02:36 AM

okay i know a few of you read my last thread when all of this first started (and thanks for the advice) well anyway, the kids who keep doing this are still getting to me
here ill fill you in lol
okay so it started with these four boys just calling me "emo" because they see the scars on my wrist, which i have no problem with. but what really gets to me is rumors and the assumptions people make. like these boys keep going on about me being bi, which im about 99% sure i am, but they decide to blurt it out in class and i really dont like unwanted attention so i just blushed and sunk down into my chair. but they also keep telling people that im a trans, which im not, but its still wrong because i know a few people who are. but the other day this kid chris (idk what he did but he was bleeding) well he asked me if i had a band-aid and i said no. and he replied oh really? i would have though you would always have them considering you cut yourself all the time. and i just looked at him and shook my head. but then i got to thinking are there really people like that who are just so self centered and wont take time to figure out why someone is hurting themself or why they're upset? its so messed up and normally i wouldnt let that kind of stuff get into my head but this really stuck. i almost cried during class, which i hate doing because, like i said before, i dont like unwanted attention.

but what should i do now? i mean the counselors at my school are horrible and they dont help at all. and the teachers in those classes i have with them will make everything very public and i really dont want that. ive talked to my mom and she says just ignore them but every time i try and ignore them they spread more rumors because i dont give them awnsers to the questions they ask ]:i dont know what to do now. ive delt with people like this before, but like in first grade..

In this world of hate there has to be a light Be that light and spread some love Maybe this day the youth can make a difference, No more hate.

Hey Kayla. First off, I'm sorry these guys are giving you such a hard time, some people are ignorant assholes that really need their asses kicked. Maybe thats what needs to be done....
No, not really, lol. Thats called assault, even if its deserved. I know your mom already mentioned just ignoring them, but i think thats all you can really do. If they ever make a comment--like the band-aid thing--call them out on it and let them know what ignorant pricks they are. I know you dont want to make a scene about it or anything but maybe you should, once or twice. Let them know you have a voice and you have a temper and you're not afraid to use it. Give 'em hell.

Yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers
But everything that lives is born to die
And so I say to you that nothing really matters
And all you do is stand and cry.

Music is life. Start living.

Hey, I'm Lauren, like Sam said, i'm sorry you're getting such a hard time,
but i think next time they make a comment, just say something like, you know im just like you, stop being such dickheads, or something along those lines, then do your best to ignore them, people are scared/ignorant about things they dont understand, especially involving, self harm or sexuality, Just let them know it's none of their buisness and just to get over themselves.
On a plus side, people do normally grow out of being so ridiculous,
take care x
