I got stitches on my wrist a few days ago, and I've noticed some numbness at the base of my wrist. I understand that having any kind of operation on such a delicate place risks this kind of effect, but I was wondering if it's gonna be permanent.
And, a friend of mine said something that scared me the other night...I told him the cuts don't hurt anymore no matter how deep they are. He said something along the lines of No wonder, you've probably killed half the nerve endings in your arms. Can that actually happen?
I've been struggling alot lately and don't even mind that I fell off the wagon. I know it's bad but right now the only reason I would even want to quit would be to stop annoying the people around me.
When you have trauma to an area with nerves then this can happen, but it probably isn't permanant. If it doesn't go away you should tell someone, you can only kill nerve endings if you cut them constantly and most of the time they will regenerate.
