I feel like I need to cut again....I'm tired of this bullshit depression and making my friends feel like they need to baby me because I'm sad around them....I hate saying I hate myself and I just tired of me being this way. I just wanna be happy around friends. :\ I need to punish myself for not trying....gawd I hate my life.

I know how you feel, and I know it's hard, but cutting is not the answer. Not now, not ever.
Do you have professional help? And do you want to talk to us more about what's going on for you, to make you feel that way?

A major point is you realise what you want and you don't want to do it! That's the first start! If you don't wnat to that bad you can beat through the urge! You need to distract yourself. Go for a walk, hold ice cubes, grab something from the freezer and put it on your forhead for atlest five minutes. The cold will hit the part of your brain that sends messages to you and gets you thinking. It may sound silly but stick with it. Do pushups untill you feel like you are going to puke. Take a bath. Write. Call a friend or a Suicide Hotline suicidehotlines. com/arizona. Try calling them. The "Why Live?" Section on that site has helped me more then enough times. Hope all is well. Hey there Mary,

I'm sorry that you're having such bad urges and that your depression is having such a negative impact upon you right now. It's understandable that you're struggling and that you're tired of your depression - it's an awful thing to suffer from.

I think talking to your friends about how you feel about your depression and about how they're behaving towards you would be a good idea and may solve some of your issues that you have with them. I think that talking about how you're feeling is a key point to feeling better and recovering from depression, Mary.

It may be worth it to get some professional help right now, if this is affecting your day to day living, which it sounds although it is. Talking to a professional about how you're feeling could be very helpful and is a lot safer and more worthwhile than hurting yourself.
