Hey there.

It sounds like you're in a bit of a tough spot. Reaching out here for help was a very good first step, and shows that even if right now you want to hurt yourself, there's also a part of you that knows you shouldn't, and that wants to beat the urge.

You say you have low self-esteem. Do you know why that is? Has something happened to make you feel that way, for example? If you start figuring out the feelings behind your feelings, you can start learning to deal with them.

There are also plenty of ways to build up your self-esteem and confidence. A simple Google search on either topic will show you a million different techniques. A couple of my favourite are to write a list of things you like about yourself (or have a trusted friend write it about you) and look at it whenever you feel bad; along the same lines, try and find one thing you like about yourself each day, and tell it to yourself. For example, one day you might say 'I have pretty eyes', and then the next, 'I'm an empathetic person', or something like that. Also, I've found that if you act like a good person, you feel like one too. A simple nice deed for someone can not only make them feel better, but also increase your own self-esteem.

Good luck, and take care.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.

Hey,

I have never had problems with depression, or self harm or suicide attempt or anything like that so I am not sure as to whether this is good advice or not. But I love to help people. I like it when I say the right thing make people smile. But I am soo not good at that. Okay, back to the topic. If what I am writing is stupid, then just ignore it.

As I said, I haven't had any such problems but I get angry a lot. And I feel like I wanna break every single thing in the house. And what I do is I close my room and cry. Cry my heart out so that I feel a whole lot better. Or I write in my journal. And writing helps me a lot. Another option is to listen to music for I love to do that. I'd suggest the writing in journal or listening to music part if I were you. Whenever you want to harm yourself, just listen to some music or write or tear up some rough paper or something like that.

And always believe in yourself. Sometimes it will be very hard. But you have to do it. Nobody's a complete loser. And believe in God. Cuz he'll always be there for you. These are just some tests that you have to pass to get that fat A. So go for it.

Kavitha
