So a few months ago I was in a really bad state and didn't have the energy to do anything really, and then once I stopped taking the painkillers I felt a bit better.
I had some bad days, through fall outs with friends and stuff and just feeling like crap :/ but I overcome them without SH or anything, it was great! So I thought that after about 3 months of no SH I was okay, but then last night I cut ![]() I'm getting really stressed out about exams and other things because I haven't been in school to do the work and now im scared of failing ![]() I cut my wrist and legs and now my friends noticed and it's kinda upset them :/ Please any advice ![]() <3 |

My advice would be to make a list of all the reasons of why SH is bad, and then any time you fell like you are going to SH, pull out the list and read it. If that doesn't help, just finding something to distract yourself like: clean, cook, or dance (I see your name is dancinglou). And advice for dealing with your friends, just tell them the truth. Hey there, my best advice is to rememember stress is only temporary and while it may seem as if the worlds caving in now things always get better. Also remind yourself that cutting is only a temporary solution to a problem, and in the end leaves you wanting more. Next time you feel stressed just come on here and one of us will gladly talk you through it. Cutting may leave you high and dry but we will never. We're always gonna be here for you cause we all know how it is to face the every day stresses of life. Also there is a list of alternatives to SH found here:

The best advice is find one of those you like and that helps distract you and do it next time you feel like cutting or any form of SH.
