What's wrong with me? I can't stop SH, even for those people I care most about. I can't stop SH for myself either. Why does it have to be so freaken addictive?

Hey Eclipse,
Self-harm isn't an easy thing to stop, especially when you've been doing it for awhile. But I'm glad you're trying your hardest to stop it. You have to find the good things in your life, and focus on that. If you love someone or something, you have to think how your self-harm would affect them, and how they'd react to it. If you need someone to vent to, PM me. - Haylen But those sequins on her dress.. boy, they threw you over the edge. |

There's nothing wrong with you. Self harm is addictive... that's not your fault. Stopping is hard... that's not your fault either.
It sounds to me like you just need to find the right motivation to stop. Maybe try making a list of all the bad things about self harm; this could include things like what it does to your body, how it makes you feel guilty, etc. Or you could do it the other way around: make a list of all the good things you can look forward to once you stop; things like not having to feel ashamed, not having to lie about it, etc. If you want to talk about anything, feel free to PM me.
