Hello.

Since you posted this, and said that it "feels good", I am assuming that you cut yourself. So I will try my best to answer...

Cutting yourself is really bad for you, because you leave wounds, scars, and eventually, you may or may not get worse. Yes, it has been proven that it releases endorphins that make you feel good, but the reality is... The state of mind you are in. You want to feel alive, you want to take away your emotional pain, calm yourself down, and some other reasons. Cutting is a coping mechanism, but it is not a healthy one. You begin to rely on it and it in no way helps you. You just think it does. Am I making sense? It may help you through the day, but in the end, you are doing so much more damage. Plus there are other risks you must take, such as infections and hitting major veins.

Anybody that Self Harms needs a support network, which may include friends, family, a counselor or therapist, a supporting online community (such as TeenHelp), and other people you may find helpful. Nobody should fight it alone, because it is a very hard thing to overcome and if you ever feel the urge to do it, try some alternatives first.

Like I was saying, Self Harm is a very bad thing... Do not be afraid to ask for help.

Honestly I myself wonder the same question. I feel like its wrong because society says so. yea it hurting use but so is tanning and overeating. I think people just cant deal with selfharmers so they mark us as wrong like anyone else they dont know how to control

As long as theres a person crying at your funeral theres a reason to live...

Cutting is bad because you don't need to be hurt, you don't deserve to be! I know you probably don't want to hear this but there are so many other ways of coping and they are so much more positive and helpful to you. Yes, cutting can feel good but only for a short time, am I right? After a while people tend to start feeling guilty or ashamed and then it doesn't seem like such a good idea. If you stopped self harming it would be such a strong thing to do. You can turn this around, I promise you

I completely agree. People hate us because they don't know what to do with us. They think we are disgusting for thinking such things. And they hate us even more because they don't know how to cope so then you get bullied for it. Being called a freak that needs to be put in an asylum.
I get it all the time....
But then some people who you can call real friends like to talk to about it, want to help you cope, because they don't think any different of us. We are still the same people, we just have a new coping strategy.

How come dumb stuff seems so smart while you're doing it?
Good friends get drunk with you. Best friends hold your hair back when you've had a bit too much to drink!
There's no such thing as good girls gone wrong, only bad girls found out.
I've learned...
that maturity has more to do with what types
of experiences you've had and what you've
learned from them and less to do with how
many birthdays you've celebrated.
