Things got bad... - December 24th 2010, 12:18 PM

So thing's are really bad tonight...
My dad's being the biggest fucking asshole out there and I really do hate him... :/
But I'm here to talk about what I did.
I used ice.
Not the drug, as in frozen water.
And i just... numbed my hands with it.
And afterwards it burned.

Is this still self harm..?
Is it... acceptable?
I've been trying to resist so hard... But it just got to me too much...

Im sorry to hear about your dad. If ice is considered self harm, its much better than cutting. The thing with cutting is, it has the potential to actually kill you. Ice, flicking a rubber band on yourself, and things like that i believe are still considered SH, but its much better than Self Mutilation. So, Congrats on not cutting. Thats a big Accomplishment. Keep it up. and if you ever need someone to vent to or you need advice, feel free to VM/PM me. (:

I actually think that's a really great alternative to other forms of SH. I might have to try that sometime. lol
It's not harming your body, but the numbing cold sensation must really take the edge off. Good for you resisting the blade; congrats! You should be proud of yourself =)
