How do I tell?

sooo i decided to tell an adult about my cutting. my youth pastor is the only adult i trust with anything and everything and he always understands so i decided to tell him. when i saw him next though i was too scared to tell him and instead avoided him and avoided even eye contact with him. then i told my best friend who also knows my youth pastor, and asked if she would go with me to tell him, for moral support. she was super supportive and right away went and asked him if we could talk to him. i have to tell him on thursday, i have no choice anymore. i'm scared. what if he freaks out and decides to tell my parents? I'll die...
I have no idea how to tell him though. like, no idea. do i just say "oh, btw, i cut myself"? I really don't think i'll be able to do that. do i somehow bring it up indirectly? do i ask my best friend to tell him for me? do i just show him the cuts so i don't even have to say anything?
advice pleaseeee. i'm soooo scareeedddd...

Hey honey, it's really good that you're gonna tell someone. And you've already told your friend. I know it's a little scarrier telling an adult, but you can do it. Just say what's true. Say you've been having a really rough time and started coping with it in not the best way. Then just say those words. I remember the firstvtine I said it outloud, it wasn't easy. But just tell the truth "I cut myself". It's nothing to be ashamed of okay? You can do this.

First of all it is great that you are telling and adult, it takes a hell of a lot of courage and you should be proud of yourself for that.
You have already told your friend, and i know it seems much scarier telling an adult, but believe in yourself you can do it: i know you can.
You don't have to just 'come out with it' or tell him it all at once you could lead up to it, so perhaps tell him about how andwhy it started and then show him th cuts? Though i do suggest you tell him yourself to stop an confusion and to help him understand. If telling him to his face is too hard at the moment, perhaps you could write him a letter? I know it is scary but you can do it!
