im not sure like wat would be self harm. i mean i know cutting is self harm but wat else would be considered self harming?

anything that harms yourself is called self harm.but please remember, stay strong. we love you

There's a wonderful sticky in this forum that might be able to help you. "Is this self harm?" Just remember that the list is just some examples, many other things could be considered self harm.

I would define self harm as anything you do to hurt yourself intentionally (on purpose). Remember if you ever need anyone, we're always here for you. Like it was said above, there's a sticky in this forum which should explain what self harm is and contains some examples.
I personally define it as anything done to hurt yourself on purpose, which leaves a mark which lasts for more than a few hours. There's also emotional self harm and indirect self harm. Emotional self harm is putting yourself down constantly. Saying to yourself "You're worthless, pathetic, you don't deserve to be alive," etc. Indirect self harm is where you put yourself in a dangerous situation on purpose, which could result in injury - eg, going on a rollercoaster because it might break, or walking alongside train tracks in case a train comes. As Jessie said, anything done to intentionally harm your body is classed as Selfharm. Also as said above while physical SH is usually recognised the most there are also emotional forms. scratching yourself, burning yourself, picking at scabs and cuts as to not let them heal, purposely bruising yourself, breaking bones just to name a few.
As some others said, really anything you do to yourself on purpose that is harmful. "2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song.If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me, Threatening the life it belongs to."
