Paper chain project. - March 9th 2012, 06:19 PM

1. When you go a day with out self harming add a coloured link to a paper chain
2. If you relapse, then instead of adding a colourful link to your paper chain, add a white one.

Simple. Then, as time goes on, you'll be able to look at your paper chain and look at all the colourful ones and see that actually you have come far, even thought it might be hard at times, you manage to beat the urges. And if you're paper chain is mostly white, then just remind yourself of the days you do overcome the urges and use the white ones as a motivation. It also helps you to see your achievements over a period of time

I found this online but I can't remeber the web adress If you google it, examples will come up!

Thats a really good idea! I might try this.

From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

I've heard of this before, and I think it's a good idea. I might have to try it.
