Unhappy Relapsed. Again. - April 17th 2012, 07:30 PM

It had been 12 days since the last time. But I had an incredibly bad day. I just cut. I regret it completely. I don't know what to do. I'm panicking. I feel like complete shit and I just can't stop thinking about it. I want to do it again, but I don't. I'm so confused.

Becci, you did amazing to last 12 days! Its ok to relapse, we all do sometimes!! But all you have to do is stay strong and start from the beginning again. Im not going to say you wont relapse again because we all make mistakes!! But im almost positive you are strong enough to do this again! Good luck and PM me anytime!

You made it 12 days. that's amazing. We all relapse I was down that same road when I was younger. 12 days is amazing. Just, be strong remember how you regretted it this time I'm sure you'll go longer next time.

12 days is PHENOMENAL! I'm proud of you!
I don't SH myself so I don't know how helpful my advice would be, but think about it this way- do you honestly think most ex-SHers never relapsed? I'm sure most of them have a couple times. Please don't beat yourself up over it!
We're rooting for you!

Hi there Becci,

I'm sorry that things are hard for you right now. I think it's really great that you've come to us for some help and support.

You going that long without hurting yourself is incredible and you did really well to do so. Ot proves that you can do this, you can beat the urges and beat this.

Recovory isn't all about deciding to self harm and never doing it again. It's not about the relapse, it's about starting over and picking yourself up, which you can do and you can beat it. It's not going to be easy but if you stay determined, take control, have hope and give time, you'll get there.

Remember we're always here and use distractions when you have urges.

Keep smiling,
Jessie
